This report presents a series of developments, trends and case studies that exemplify the
growing importance that Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), as well as other closely related
concepts, are having in thinking and practice around reconciling urban planning, human well-
being and sustainability, in cities in both the European Union (EU) and the Community of
Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
